The first meeting was held at The Willows in September 1998, when the Breast Care Team at the hospital had suggested that patients get together to share concerns and provide support for each other. Following this initial meeting, there was a social gathering at a local hotel and things grew from there! Regular meetings were held right through until the pandemic struck in 2020, although online meet-ups are occasionally taking place! Over the years ABC have been regular participants at the Race For Life and Relay for Life as well as raising their own funds to support local women.
